Because the news reports are always slow to load – thanks to millions of advertisements – and the Gov.uk listing (when they don’t accidentally post everyone’s addresses!) are in a PDF, and therefore not great to load up in a mobile, last year I formatted the New Year’s Honours list for simple online publication.
For 2020, the same, see below.
There are no coincidences in this world, just a lack of understanding or awareness of the connecting impetus.
There was a round of highly entertaining Premier League football on Saturday 23 November, including Jose Mourinho’s first match in charge of Spurs; and an intriguing clash between Chelsea and Man City.
Highlights from all the day’s matches, from Sky Sports, the official UK highlights distributor, are embedded below, with some added commentary from me. Got a comment on a match? Leave it at the bottom of this post…

It has been a good year for sports fans in the North West of England in particular, as we’ve been a little spoiled with our area’s sports men and women showing World Class levels of performance, so it was nice to see sleeping giants at Mancester United showing signs of recovery under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer during the Christmas period.
The 2019 New Year’s Honours List was published today, on 29 December 2019, and in case you wanted to see the full list, without it being in a PDF, I’ve published it below – minus all the ads and other slowness that mainstream news media will surround their honours list content with.
Navigating the Complete List:
This list is complete and searchable – for example, if you are on a desktop or laptop computer, hit CTRL + F and then type in a county or city (say “North Yorkshire” or “London”) or a surname (like “Wilkinson”) and you can then flip through the relevant items. Alternatively, there’s a table of contents so you can jump to the main sections of honours.
I was able to post this really quickly for the benefit of the world because I have the best broadband in Britain.
Liverpool consolidated their position at the top of the 2019/20 Premier League on Sunday 10th November 2019, with an impressive 3-1 win over holding Champs, Manchester City at their Anfield home.
Two matches, featuring two title contenders, as well as the small matter of Liverpool v Man United, took place on a genuine Super Sunder of Premier League action on 19 January 2020.
Official UK highlights for both matches are below, from Sky Sports.
On Tuesday 3rd December 2019, something new came to fans of Premier League Football in the UK, as Amazon Prime got in on the live matches act. Read about the Man City Amazon Prime match, here, but below, the highlights from the evening from Sky Sports Football, the official UK highlights distributor.
Note the official Premier League Highlights below may only display to visitors from the UK.
A host of fixtures in the Premier League were scheduled for New Year’s Day, 1 January 2020, as the 2019/20 season continued.
Highlights from each of the day’s fixtures are below, from Sky Sports football, the official UK highlights resource.
I post Premier League Highlights most match days, all in one fast-loading page, for fans of football. Any ads you see are from Sky Sports / YouTube. I don’t run ads in this site.
Another round of exciting UEFA Champions League 19/20 matches took place across Europe on the evening of Tuesday 26th November 2019, a night on which fans were treated to some impressive comebacks and turnarounds.
As last round, I’m again posting Champions League Highlights for my British friends, from the official UK highlights distributor, BT Sport, who post to YouTube, and make this content available to embed – this allows me to collect the highlights together, into one, super fast loading, mobile friendly, page, for fans of football to enjoy.
So I’ll stop typing, and let you enjoy the highlights, which I’ve placed in order of entertainment value 🙂
