UEFA Champions League Highlights 16 Feb 2021 – Round of 16

The Round of 16 for UEFA Champions League 2021 took place on Tuesday 16 February 2021, with some of the biggest names in European football facing off.

Below are highlights from both first leg matches, Barca Vs PSG and RB Leipzig Vs Liverpool FC, in one fast loading, ad-free, page.

Highlights are courtesy of UK’s BT Sport and may not be available in all regions.

Barcelona Vs PSG (1-4)

This was the Mbappe show, as the France star bagged a hat-trick in Camp Nou and proved to be the difference between these two juggernauts of European soccer.

Barca’s crown has been slipping for a few seasons, and as PSG showed here for all to see, they can ship multiple goals on off nights.

RB Leipzig Vs Liverpool (0-2)

Liverpool dusted themselves off from some so-so Premier League form to put on a solid display and pick up a couple of away goals at RB Leipzig.

The same old faces bagged a brace of goals between them as Salah and Mané proved to be the difference in an otherwise close encounter.

First Legs… Large Away Advantages

We’ve seen here, two away sides who got half a job done. Naturally, in this fan-less era, the prospect of an away tie is not quite what it would traditionally have been, but both PSG and Liverpool put in good performances which should be enough to see them through to the Quarter Finals, assuming there are no surprises at home.

Both second legs will feature away sides looking to be expansive to grab at least three goals, so there may be some exciting football in store for fans in the return legs.

If football has taught us anything, it is that these ties are far from done… They’re half done.
