Three Premier League matches took place on Sunday 29 December 2019.

Arsenal v Chelsea (1-2)
Aresenal will be hoping for better in 2020, as their dismal 2019 continued here. 1-0 up turned into a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea, who cemented their place in the top four, thanks to strikes from Jorginho and Abraham who turned the match on it’s head in 5 second half minutes.
A late show from Lampard’s inconsistent blues, and yet another disappointment for beleaguered Arsenal fans.
Liverpool v Wolves (1-0)
Liverpool enjoyed the benefit of two quite close VAR decisions in this match, which saw them move 13 points clear at the top of the table once more.
Unlucky for Wolves who could easily have returned from Anfield with a point.
Man City v Sheffield United (2-0)
City beat Sheffield United courtesy of a couple of second half goals, the first of which from Sergio Aguero came after Blades had a goal ruled out for offside by VAR… and to add a little insult, the City goal came after the ball rebounded back off the referee. Ouch. 12th man stuff.
De Bruyne, who had been the rebound recipient, went on to add a second for the hosts, but the visitors showed once again they are no pushovers. They could have got something from this match with a little bit more luck.
City weren’t at their brilliant best, but they did enough for three points.

Liverpool extended back to 13 points clear at the top, and Man City stayed 14 points behind them in third place, after all the top 5 won this weekend.
Spurs and Wolves saw Man United move into fifth place.
