UEFA Champions League 19/20 Highlights – Group Stage Tuesday 5 Nov 2019

There was some impressive Champions League action on Bonfire night, as a hat full of goals went in on an explosive evening of football.

The highlights below are embedded from the UK official UEFA accredited provider, BT Sport, via their YouTube channel. I’ve collected all matches from 5th November 2019 together here for the benefit of football fans like me, who want to see the clips.

Also, you can leave a moderated comment on your favourite part of the day’s action, at the bottom.

For those who don’t know, I was UEFA accredited myself in the past, and used to write content about matches like these. It’s a beautiful game.

Enjoy!

Chelsea v Ajax (4-4)

Chelsea went in 3-1 down at half time, but this match would end 4-4 and with Chelsea feeling a little hard done by, after Ajax had 2 defenders sent off in 2 minutes, and finished the match with 9 men.

Just incredible.

Liverpool v Genk (2-1)

Liverpool continued their solid form, edging a close encounter with Genk.

Dortmund v Inter (3-2)

Another barnstormer of a result between Europen powerhouses, this time in Germany, where Borussia Dortmund were able to see off Inter Milan by an odd goal.

Barcelona v Slavia Prague (0-0)

Barcelona being held to a 0-0 draw on any other European night is probably the biggest news of the evening – here it’s just a notable side-story.

Valencia v Lille (4-1)

Valencia had the most comfortable time of the night, with a 4-1 victory over French side, Lille.

Napoli v Salzburg (1-1)

Napoli were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Red Bull Salzburg.

Zenit v RB Leipzig (0-2)

Zenit St Petersburg lost 2-0 at home, in a result which all but assured Leipzip of qualification for the next round.

This isn’t Twitter or YouTube, though, so remember I won’t necessarily publish some stupid rant about how you hate team X or whatever 🙂 … ideally, you’ll have something interesting to say about VAR or something.
